    Happy Easter!

    April 21, 2014 by Tannhaeuser

I'd like to express my (somewhat belated) good wishes to all our FusionFall heroes and heroines in this season of new life and new beginnings.  Let's hope that we will see creativity flourish here at the wiki -- and I have little doubt that it will, considering the highly inventive fans that we have the privilege to host.

Please let me know if you have any questions or encounter any difficulties.  Of course, we can't expect perfection -- a living site with no rigid border has to expect to exhibit a sort of jungly overgrowth -- but I hope we can all try to work together to give at least an unruly harmony to FusionFall fanon as a whole.  I would (if I may without immodesty) recommend to some of our editors going back to some of my older blogs an…

    Creating Pages

    March 11, 2014 by Tannhaeuser

I'd like to send out a special plea today to all those who want to create a page on the wiki. Please, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, do NOT put up completely blank pages.  Today there were over twenty posted on the wiki, and it was exceptionally tedious going back and marking each one as a stub, in order to make sure that it wouldn't be forgotten and remain a blank page in saeculum saeculi, world without end, Amen.  There are few things as disappointing as logging onto a brand-new page, all agog to see what fan ingenuity has made of connecting Heckle and Jeckle or The Power Rangers or whoever with our beloved game, and then being faced with the blue screen of boredom.

Every page should ideally have an information box; a picture; a brief note identify…

I have noticed that quite a few of our contributors have a specific problem with punctuation, one that is very easily fixed. There is a tendency to leave out the spaces that ought to be placed after most marks of punctuation, viz., the period or full stop ".", the comma ",", the colon ":", the semi-colon ";", the question mark "?", the exclamation mark or "screamer" "!", closing quotation marks or inverted commas " "" ", and the closing bracket or parenthesis "), ], }". The only punctuation marks that should not be followed by a space are opening quotation marks or inverted commas " "" ", apostrophes " ' ", and the opening bracket or parenthesis "(, [, {".

Even worse, this neglect of spaces is very often accompanied with a total neglect of c…

You know, guys, I think it is time that we started weeding out some of the unnecessary and far too numerous categories that we have assigned to the articles here on the wiki. I know that it is fun and all to add a new category to an article, and that it helps build up to a new achievement badge -- I've succumbed to badge fever myself at times. Nevertheless, we ought to start considering the usefulness (or uselessness) of a lot of the categories we have been attaching to each page. For instance:

We have a category for Teens and a category for Males. Do we really need a category for Teen Males? There were categories for Heroes and for Superheroes, for Villains and Ex-Villains, and for Anti-Heroes. (I have had the temerity to trim a number …

    FanonFall...of DEATH!!!

    December 17, 2013 by Tannhaeuser

i have been going through a lot of the pages on the wiki here, and I have noticed a trend which I find a bit disturbing in relation to the "kid-friendly" Massively Multi-player Online Game that inspires (at least nominally -- I have doubts sometimes the people who posted one or two of the pages here ever actually played the game, or, indeed, ever watched Cartoon Network) the fan fictions of the FusionFall universe.

Why do so many of these fans keep pushing the idea that characters, particularly children, are being slaughtered en masse in the "war" on Fuse?  Has everyone forgotten the presence of "Resurrect 'Em" in the game?  "Death" in the FusionFall universe wasn't even as drastic as in those videogames in which a player had six or twelve lives…
